Delicate Pie with Cherry

4 eggs
200 g sugar
150 g flour
200 g butter 
1 tea sp. baking powder 
1 package vanilla sugar 
2 cups fresh cherries 


Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat to a smooth consistency. Go on beating, gradually adding flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar. 

The resulting dough should be smooth, the consistency of rich cream. Place the dough in a cake tin (24 cm), greased with butter. Place the cherries on the dough. Cook for 35-40 min. in an oven preheated to 180 C.  Let the cake cool completely in the tin.  

Tip: If frozen cherries are used, let them unfreeze completely and put aside the juice.
